Telehealth Services.

Integrative Life Center Virtual Programming

Integrative Life Center’s treatment services for Mental Health, Substance Use Disorders, Eating Disorders, Trauma, and Sex, Love and Intimacy Disorders are available virtually and can be accessed from the comfort of your own home.

Our telehealth services allow clients the ability to access the integrative, whole-person care we offer at ILC without having to travel to Nashville to participate in programming. Barriers like distance, time away from family, travel expenses or public health crises are all circumvented through online program participation.

“Online programming is going great. I appreciate the spaces between sharing and am able to follow along and process more at the new pace. I feel like I can participate more and space is shared more evenly on the virtual platform. It has been a positive experience and I appreciate ILC for not missing a beat when it comes to transitioning to online programming!”

Virtual Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Integrative Life Center’s virtual PHP and IOP programs are designed to replicate the in-person ILC experience of primary process groups, experiential therapies, individual sessions with an assigned masters-level therapist and medical appointments. Our platform is accessible, easy-to-use and meets the HIPAA telemedicine compliance standards.

You can participate in our virtual PHP and IOP programs by using your smartphone, tablet, laptop, desktop computer or any device with an Internet connection and camera. Virtual IOP runs on a similar schedule as our in-person equivalent. Just like site-based treatment, virtual sessions incorporate our patient-centered treatment approach with peer rapport and recovery support.

Virtual Family Program

We have Family Programming once a month where clients are invited to have their families come to Nashville to participate in a 3-day intensive designed to provide support and guidance. This program is now available in an online format where our licensed and trained clinicians help families learn to rebuild trust and relationships in light of substance use and mental health struggles.

Receiving Treatment for Behavioral Health Online

Online programming is certainly convenient and timely considering the current state of our world, but is it effective?

Studies indicate that online treatment of behavioral health may be as effective as face-to-face therapy for many mental health and co-occurring disorders. Popular approaches, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), are well-suited to online therapy.

Dr. Anita Johnston, our Executive Director of Eating Disorders Programming, has been practicing virtual consultations and counseling for eating disorders for years with high success rates.

The American Psychological Association (APA) endorses the use of telecommunications in the treatment of mental health, providing its own resources for the treatment of PTSD via virtual therapy and providing guidelines for the practice of telepsychology.

In short, online therapeutic programming is effective and the wave of the future. For many, it is an ideal extended care option after discharging from a Residential program.

If you’re unsure whether telehealth programming is the right fit for your needs, please reach out to Admissions to inquire about an assessment of your case by our clinical team to determine an appropriate level of care.
