Most common types of mental health disorders we see are:
The primary approach to treatment is usually talking therapy, medication or a combination of the two. Increasingly, research suggests these treatments may normalize brain changes associated with depression. For treatment-resistant depression, our Psychiatrist may recommend Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) or Ketamine infusions. TMS is a noninvasive procedure that uses magnetic fields to stimulate nerve cells in the brain to improve symptoms of depression. TMS is typically used when other depression treatments haven’t been effective. Recently, ketamine has been shown to quickly and effectively reduce the symptoms of depression, where standard antidepressant medications can take several weeks before relieving symptoms. Amino acid supplements are also used to supplement the above courses of treatment.
Treatment includes counseling or medications, including antidepressants.
Treatment is usually lifelong and often involves a combination of medications and psychotherapy.
Treatments include medication and talk therapy.
Treatment includes talk therapy, medications, or both.
POST TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER
Treatment includes different types of trauma-focused psychotherapy such as EMDR, Brainspotting, Comprehensive Resource Model, experiential and body-oriented therapies such as Yoga and breathwork, as well as medications to manage symptoms.
People in need of mental health treatment are more likely than people without mental health disorders to experience alcohol- or substance-use disorder. Co-occurring disorders can be difficult to diagnose due to the complexity of symptoms, as both may vary in severity. In many cases, people receive treatment for one disorder while the other disorder remains untreated. When these are present, an individual needs the dual diagnosis treatment center Nashville provides.
The consequences of undiagnosed, untreated, or undertreated co-occurring disorders can lead to a higher likelihood of experiencing homelessness, incarceration, medical illnesses, suicide, or even early death. At ILC our staff are trained in mental health and addiction disorders and are we are able to address co-occurring mental health, substance use, and eating disorders. Our addiction treatment programs Tennessee can count on help our patients recover from these issues.
If you have a co-occurring disorder, comprehensive treatment is integrated treatment where staff can address mental and substance use disorders at the same time. Doing so often lowers costs and creates better outcomes.
Treating Mental Health Disorders.
Comprehensive Care. Trustworthy Staff.
Research shows that active substance use disorders, eating disorders, and mood disorders have a direct impact on the brain and other organs. While many adults have deficits in vital nutrients important for optimal brain function and healing, clients in need of recovery services are more susceptible to significant deficits that impair their “control panel” (brain) from operating their “machine” (body) in a healthy way. Your brain and body are as unique as your treatment plan here at Integrative Life Center, therefore it is crucial that the onset of treatment includes a comprehensive medical assessment to determine your individual recovery roadmap from a medical perspective. Ongoing assessment and medical interventions are tailored to you and assist in allowing you to get the most out of the array of clinical services you will also receive during your stay.
