Grace Gibbs

“I know first-hand the compassion and understanding of ILC. As a new employee, I was faced with a challenging personal situation. The understanding and concern were exactly what I needed. And that’s just what our clients experience during their recovery.” – Grace Gibbs

Grace Gibbs lives and breathes recovery. As the Assistant Residential Manager, Grace experiences the day-to-day joys and challenges of this unique community. Working with the housing staff, Grace is involved in all aspects of residential life at ILC—from helping clients learn life skills like budgeting and grocery shopping, to preparing community meals and establishing productive routines. She works closely with the ILC clinical staff to facilitate treatment directives for clients.

Grace earned a bachelor’s degree in social work from Lipscomb University and began her career at ILC as a residential assistant in the Morningstar program. Previously, she taught high school students with severe emotional and behavioral issues.

Away from work, the great outdoors is Grace’s favorite place to be, camping, hiking or spending time with her young niece and rescue dog Willow.

The rustic, peaceful setting of our properties are not only therapeutic for ILC clients but are also restorative for Grace and her colleagues.
