our supportive living community
We believe strongly in the power of peer support and community as an integral part of the recovery process, and our homes provide an environment to practice the skills and insights gained in treatment. Our homes offer varying levels of structure and support to best meet our clients’ specific needs. Using a positive peer culture model, clients living in our homes develop self-worth, dignity and responsibility as they become committed to the positive values of recovery.
Gender-specific residences are managed by trained staff that provides support, guidance and accountability in an environment that promotes health, wellness and recovery. Licensed clinical staff provide clinically significant support to residents and ensure that personal recovery work and treatment gains are integrated into the living environment.
All independent living residences are within walking distance of ILC and complementary therapeutic services. Recreational outings around Nashville also help foster the development of healthy leisure skills.
ILC’s independent and supportive living homes offer regular meditation opportunities to cultivate emotional regulation skills, physical health and well-being supported by YMCA memberships and our in-house Real Foods program, and structured meal opportunities for clients in need of additional support.
Weekly in-house community meetings and life skills groups assist in the development of healthy communication skills and case management is provided on an individual basis.
