Daniel Barton, M.D.

Psychiatric Director

Dr. Daniel Barton is a Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist operating in the Nashville community.

He completed his adult psychiatric training at Harvard University's Cambridge City Hospital and later a Child and Adolescent Fellowship at Louisiana State University's Health and Science Center in New Orleans, La. A native of Nashville, Dr. Barton returned to our community from New Orleans via Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

In addition to acting as Psychiatric Director at the Integrative Life Center, Dr. Barton is the founder and Medical Director of the Tennessee TMS Center, a clinic that provides individuals a unique non-medicinal form of treatment for depression and other psychiatric issues.

Dr. Barton also spends time seeing individuals in his Sylvan Park based private practice.

Outside of work, Dr. Barton enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife and always well mannered, never a problem what-so-ever two young children.

Carolyn Ross, MD, MPH

Eating Disorder Consultant

A physician, author, and nationally recognized speaker, Dr. Carolyn Ross is a graduate of the University of Michigan School and an alumnus of Dr. Andrew Weil's Program in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona. She holds a master's degree in public health with an emphasis on international health. She has more than 20 years experience as a practicing physician specializing in women's health and integrative medicine. She served as the Head of the Eating Disorder Program and Head of Integrative Therapies at Sierra Tucson, an internationally respected treatment center in Arizona.

Dr. Ross understands the powerful role that a mind/ body/ spirit approach plays in healing, particularly in her area of expertise - eating disorders. Her first book, "Miracles in Healing" recounts her journey of self healing while offering a mesmerizing exploration of alternative and complementary healing modalities. Her second book, due out next year, guides professional in an integrative medicine approach to the treatment of eating disorders based on the highly successful program Dr. Ross has developed at Sierra.

Lori Miles, RN

Registered Nurse

Lori Miles is a native Nashvillian who began her healing journey when she decided to become a nurse and help others. Lori received her R.N. degree from Aquinas College in Nashville, TN and spent the next 15 years working with patients in the field of mental health and addictions.

Her interest in alternative and complementary medicine grew and Lori became a student of yoga and more recently, a teacher of yoga to share her knowledge of liberation with others.

Lori now teaches therapeutic yoga for recovery as well as a variety of styles intermixed. Her style has been described as creative and inspiring. She continues to explore ways to nourish the soul and continues to grow in the philosophy of living a yogic lifestyle.

Lori is the owner of "Flowers of Life." essential, organic, handmade body products. Lori enjoys nature and being creative in her art and writing, but mostly being a part of the team at Integrative Life Center.
